At the 27th Fintech Talks goes Digital Currencies, we welcome, once again, Mr Georgios Samakovitis, Professor of Banking and Financial Technology (FinTech), School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, University of Greenwich, London. With the global financial scene undergoing a search for identity in order to “redesign its future”, Mr Samakovitis will attempt a techno-economic and geopolitical overview, critique and construction of possible future scenarios for value-exchange ecosystems. By considering inequalities, advantages and hidden challenges in the transfer, clearing and settlement of value via tokenization, we aim to foster discussion on how technology, politics and regulatory authorities can jointly shape the future of the markets.
The event is an initiative of Smart Attica ΕDIH, and is being held with co-funding by the EU. It will be held on Thursday, 4 December at 18:00, at the Panteion University, Room C3 (New Building, 3rd floor), Leoforos Syggrou 136, 17671.
Greek Fintech Hub is an initiative of the National Bank of Greece together with Endeavor Greece, the Onassis Foundation, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the Athens University of Economics & Business. And together with these institutions, the European Crowd Dialog initiative.
